Sunday 20 November 2016 marked the launch of the new St George’s Dance and Theatre programme under the artistic direction of Jay Emmanuel who has a rich experience in theatre and dance. Born in India, he has worked nationally and internationally as a dancer, director and actor.

The Dean and Chapter are very proud to be able to foster a programme that explicitly supports young artists and multiculturalism. The Cathedral will be a space where a broad range of artists, both established and emerging, can co-operate creatively.

Jay EmmanuelFrom the Artistic Director:

"Our direction in Season One focusses on intimacy... The intimacy between humans and what it is to connect with one another, and the power of solitude - allowing ourselves to be alone, and to reconnect with who we are as people."
